Attorney Bio
Prior to practicing law, Mr. Mommer was a social worker in Southern Louisiana for evacuees of hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
Mr. Mommer then attended graduate school where he spent time in former war zones providing care for wartime orphans. Mr. Mommer continues to volunteer his time as a facilitator for a United Nations partnered organization where he helps Eastern and Western cultures understand each other.
In law school, Mr. Mommer achieved the highest honors in the federal rules of evidence, a field that many experienced attorneys continue to struggle with. Mr. Mommer also received the highest honors in legal research and writing, one of the most essential skills of lawyering. Finally, Mr. Mommer was presented with an award for achieving the highest honors in homeland security law, a highly competitive and technical course.
Mr. Mommer also served as the Western Michigan University Senior Research Editor and the Senior Articles Editor on the Homeland & National Security Law Review, the first law review of its kind.
Mr. Mommer currently sits on a list for Diplomatic Appointment for the United States Department of State.
